The Ashbrook Hotel is a boutique hospitality destination in the heart of Frankfort, Kentucky, known for delivering elevated guest experiences through exceptional service, thoughtfully crafted cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in our culinary program and are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for executing menu items with precision, consistency, and efficiency. This role is integral to maintaining kitchen standards, ensuring food quality, and supporting a smooth service operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Set up and stock assigned workstation with all necessary supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health regulations
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution
• Assist with inventory management, prep work, and kitchen closing duties
• Monitor food quality and report any inconsistencies or issues to kitchen leadership

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
